Vintage Print Work

This vintage magazine ad was designed by Nancy Cohen Design in the early years while working at Channel 4 in Detroit. The photo highlights the unique personality of the sportscaster Bernie Smilovitz.

The non-profit organization called Think Twice had several fundraising activities. One of these was a Motown themed concert to raise money for dependent mothers to be able to purchase homes in Detroit. Nancy Cohen Design used bright colors from the full color printing palette to capture the excitement of the Motown sound.

This holiday card was an early project from Nancy Cohen Design. The card was created as part of a holiday promotion for WDIV- TV4 using the Quantel paintbox to airbrush the four logo into a candy cane and then compositing the typography using traditional art boards before going to print.
